01

Naughty dating, minus the jargon

Naughty dating is casual, no-strings dating between consenting adults who are upfront about wanting fun and chemistry rather than a relationship. That might be one memorable evening or someone you see now and then. What makes it work is that both of you know the deal from the first message.

Fish for Naughty Singles is a place to meet people who want the same, written for UK adults trying it for the first time. It isn't a place for pressure, explicit chat from strangers you didn't invite, or anyone under 18. If you're not sure what "casual" should mean for you, our beginner's guide to casual dating is the best place to start.

02

Your first week, at your own pace

  1. Join and say what you're after. One honest line, such as "fun, not a relationship", does most of the work.
  2. Have a browse. It's free, and there's no clock running.
  3. Say hello when you're ready. Messaging is the paid part, so upgrade only when there's someone you want to talk to.

Spend the first few days writing a profile that sounds like you (our profile guide has examples) and getting a feel for who's out there. Nobody expects you to meet anyone in week one, or at all; lots of people chat for a while before deciding what they want. The full walk-through, including what's free and what isn't, is on how it works.

03

What it costs, in plain terms

What it costs
Join, create a profile, browseFree
Read and reply to messagesPaid membership (weekly and monthly plans)
Optional extrasSuch as profile boosts and an ID-verified badge

The members area shows the exact price of each plan before you pay. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. Check the price and billing details at checkout before you pay.

The short version: you only pay when you want to chat, and you can stop the next payment at any time in Settings > Billing. If you're just trying it, set a reminder a day or two before your renewal date. The checkout screen shows the billing name that will appear on your card statement, and our prices page covers renewals, cancelling and refunds before you spend a penny.

04

Openers that get a bite

Most first messages fail for the same reason: they could have been sent to anyone. Three habits fix that.

  • Mention something from their profile. A place, a joke, a film. It shows you actually read it.
  • Keep it light. Flirty is fine; explicit from a stranger is not, and it rarely gets a reply.
  • Ask a question that's easy to answer. "Best pub you've found this year?" beats "Tell me about yourself."

The first-messages guide has example openers, what to do when someone replies, and the warning signs that a conversation isn't what it seems.

05

First meet-up nerves? Here's the checklist

Nerves are normal, and a bit of planning takes the edge off. Meet somewhere public first, such as a pub or café you know. Tell a friend who you're meeting, where and when, and agree a time to check in. Sort your own way there and home, and keep your phone charged.

Consent is checked as you go, not assumed. Agreeing to a drink isn't agreeing to anything else, and either of you can change your mind at any point. If things might go further, take condoms. The full first meet-up checklist covers the night itself and the day after, and our safety page lists where to get help.

06

Why someone from another site might message you

Fish for Naughty Singles runs on a shared platform. Profiles are shared across partner sites in the same network, so people who joined through a different site can see your profile and message you, and you can see theirs.

That means more people to talk to, and it also means more people can see you. Choose your photos and what you write with that in mind. Photos are reviewed before they appear, but what members write about themselves isn't checked, so take every profile as a starting point rather than a promise.

07

Who's behind the site, and how to reach us

Fish for Naughty Singles is run by Ambervine Inc, a company registered in Delaware, USA. The billing name for card payments is shown at checkout before you pay. Our guides take product facts from the members area's own policies and link outside facts, such as helpline numbers, to the official source. We don't publish member numbers, testimonials or success stories.

For anything about your account, payments or another member, use the members help centre. More about us, and how to report a mistake on this website, is on the about page, and the essentials are on one page in key facts.

08

Questions people ask

I've never done this before. Is that a problem?

Not at all; the site is written with first-timers in mind. Start with the beginner's guide, be honest in your profile about what you're after, and go at your own pace.

Do I have to pay anything?

Not to join, set up a profile or have a look around. Reading and replying to messages needs a membership. The members area shows the price of each plan before you pay.

Who can join?

Adults aged 18 and over. The site and its guides are written for people in the UK.

Will the site name show on my bank statement?

It depends on how the payment is processed. The billing name that will appear on your statement is shown at checkout, so check it on the payment screen before you confirm.

How do I stop paying, or leave?

Cancel in Settings > Billing and the membership won't renew. To remove your profile as well, tap your avatar, then Settings > Delete Account.
