In short
Fish for Naughty Singles is a UK casual dating site for adults 18+, run by Ambervine Inc. Joining, creating a profile and browsing are free; reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership that renews until you cancel. Profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network, so members of other sites can see and message you.
| Free | Join, create a profile, browse |

The short version: you can do everything except read and reply to messages without paying a thing, so there's no need to decide anything on day one.
Joining and making your profile
You join with an email address, a password and your date of birth, and you must be 18 or over. It takes a few minutes, and you can come back to finish your profile later.
- Sign up in the members area with your email, a password and your date of birth.
- Add a photo. You'll usually need at least one. Photos are reviewed before they go live, and the image rules don't allow nudity or lingerie.
- Write a few lines about you and what you're looking for.
- Fill in the profile fields, such as who you'd like to meet, the age range and distance you're happy with, and lifestyle details like smoking and drinking.
- Browse and see who's around.
What you write isn't checked, and nor is anyone else's, so honesty is on all of us. Our profile guide has examples and tips on keeping your privacy.
What's free and what's paid
Joining, building a profile and browsing are free; reading and replying to messages, and a few other features, need a membership. Free accounts also see adverts.
| You can | Free | Needs a membership |
|---|---|---|
| Join and create a profile | Yes | |
| Browse other members | Yes | |
| Read messages sent to you | Yes | |
| Reply to messages | Yes | |
| See who has liked or viewed you | Yes | |
| See read receipts and full-size photos | Yes |
Reading is the one that catches people out: if someone messages you while you're on a free account, you'll need to upgrade to read it. There are also optional paid extras, such as profile boosts and an ID-verified badge. Nobody needs them to get started. Current plans, and how renewal works, are on our prices page.
Messages, and the partner-site network
Fish for Naughty Singles shares one member database with partner sites in the same network, so you'll see, and be seen by, people who joined elsewhere. In practice:
- Members who joined through another site can see your profile and message you, and you can see and message them.
- A profile shows which site that person joined through, so don't be surprised to see a different name there.
- Your profile is seen by more people than just this site's members. Choose your photos and words with that in mind.
When you start chatting, keep it on the site until you're comfortable, and never send money to anyone you haven't met. The first-messages guide covers openers and red flags, and our safety page explains what to do if something feels off.
Optional ID verification
ID verification is an optional paid badge that shows your photo ID matched a selfie. It's handled by a verification provider. Some sign-ups, for example through a VPN, or accounts that have been flagged, are asked to verify before they can carry on. A badge confirms identity, not honesty, so it's still worth a call before meeting anyone.
Logging in and password help
Log in at the members area login page. If you've forgotten your password, use the password reset option on that page and follow the instructions. If a reset email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. For anything else about your account, use the members help centre.
Paying, cancelling and leaving
Memberships renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling and deleting your account are two separate steps.
- Card statements use the billing name shown at checkout, which may not be the site's own name, so check it before you pay.
- To stop the next payment, go to Settings > Billing and cancel.
- To delete your profile completely, tap your avatar, then Settings > Delete Account. Cancel your membership first so nothing renews.

Questions people ask
Can I read a message someone sends me without paying?
No. Reading and replying to messages need a paid membership, so if someone writes to you while you're on a free account, you'll need to upgrade to see what they said. You can join, build a profile and browse for free first, and decide whether to pay once there's someone you want to talk to.
Why can I see people from other sites?
Fish for Naughty Singles shares one member database with partner sites in the same network. Members who joined elsewhere can see your profile and message you, and you can see theirs. Each profile shows which site its owner joined through, so a different site name on a profile is normal rather than a sign of anything odd.
I've forgotten my password. What do I do?
Go to the members login page, choose the password reset option and follow the instructions sent to your email address. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If you're still stuck, or no longer have access to that email address, contact the members help centre.
Does cancelling delete my profile?
No. Cancelling in Settings > Billing stops your membership renewing, but your profile stays on the site and can still be seen by other members. To remove it, tap your avatar, then Settings > Delete Account. Cancel first, then delete, so there's nothing left to renew.
